Class B CDL Driver – Waste & Recycling Services

In this role, you will operate heavy commercial vehicles to service residential and commercial routes. Key Responsibilities: - Vehicle Operation: Safely operate Class B commercial collection trucks across residential neighborhoods and commercial areas, navigating high-traffic zones, tight streets, and alleyways. - Route Execution: Transport, collect, and handle residential and commercial waste/recycling in full compliance with company safety standards and local traffic regulations. - Pre/Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough daily DOT Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), reporting any mechanical defects or safety concerns promptly. - Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with DOT rules, state/federal regulations, and Rumpke safety protocols at all times. - Schedule Flexibility: Work assigned 1st-shift hours starting at 5:00 AM, with flexibility to support overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage as business demands dictate. Must-Have Qualifications: - License: Valid Class B (or Class A) Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). - DOT Medical: Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (or ability to obtain/reinstate prior to start date). - Age & Work Authorization: Minimum 19 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. - Clean Driving Record: No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years and NO disqualifying DUI/OVI offenses. - Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred (relevant driving experience prioritized). - Location: Must reside within daily commuting distance of Columbus, OH (no relocation provided). What Will Make You Stand Out: - Prior experience operating Class B vehicles in waste/recycling, municipal public works, beverage delivery, construction hauling, or multi-stop route distribution. - Demonstrated experience operating hydraulic equipment, compaction units, or heavy vehicle controls. - Strong attendance record and dedication to daily route completion.
