Senior Telecommunications Engineering Specialist (E-911 & SIP Specialist)

The Mission When an emergency call is placed from a military installation, there is zero room for error. We are looking for an elite Senior Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to spearhead the mission-critical integration of emergency communications for the Army Voice Modernization (VMOD) initiative. In this role, you won't just be managing a network; you will be the technical linchpin connecting VMOD systems, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) environments. What You Will Do (The Day-to-Day) - Architect Next-Gen Routing: Deploy, integrate, and optimize Ribbon Federal Edge gateways and Session Border Controllers (SBCs). - Own the Call Flow: Analyze, map, and rigorously troubleshoot end-to-end E-911 call flows to ensure absolute reliability. - Bridge Critical Networks: Engineer complex SIP interconnections and policy routing solutions across DISA VISP and Army PSAP environments. - Solve the Hard Problems: Use Wireshark and deep signaling analysis to diagnose complex engineering issues, identify technical risks, and execute swift mitigation strategies. - Validate Readiness: Lead deployment validation and readiness assessments to ensure tactical and operational systems are fully stable before going live.
